The Alburys Charitable Foundation

 ANNOUNCEMENT

Over the last few months we, as founding trustees, have thought very carefully about the future of The Alburys Charitable Foundation and its management. The focus of our discussions has been comparing the burden of managing our charitable giving using a Charitable Foundation with the much simpler approach of making donations directly to the charities we would wish to support. Our conclusion is that we should dissolve the charity.

Our activities so far have given us significant exposure to the not-for-profit world. We are, and will remain, in regular contact with several local charities and other organisations which specialise in matching donors with prospective grantees. That experience means that we can face the prospect of directing our charitable giving in future with much more focus than would otherwise have been the case and that is what we intend to do.

This website will be shut down on or shortly before 31st March 2026.
